Who is Hajar’s House

Everyone is asking the question "Who is Hajar's House"? Well I'm going to tell you about Hajar's House.

We are an idea manifested out of a community need. On Jan 7, 2024 the idea came to mind after discussions of my trip to Umrah. I wasn’t really sure this was what I wanted to do but.... we plan and Allah plans, and He is the best of planners.

This was my second Umrah trip and it was just what I needed. Reflecting on the last few years, I came to the conclusion I needed to make some real change in my life. And starting over was key. Allah will show you things in the proper times and place of your life. So when I asked Him for a reset ..... that is exactly what I got, a reset.

So after making istaghra a few times, I started the process. I registered with the state, started creating my board, working on bylaws, ( only to realize I was going about this backwards....smh).

I should have had my bylaws ready when I applied with the state. But, as I diligently worked on creating our bylaws and looking for people to be on my board. I saw Hajar's House coming together, an organization with a vision to see lost and vulnerable women and families take the steps to creating a new positive life journey while on a mission to encourage women to walk out of displacement while providing the tools for self-sufficiency towards achieving independence.

Hajar's House provides the tools needed such as mental health awareness, education, and financial capacity, so our participants become successful in their new found lives. It is through these core principles that we will present programs that implement: safe shelter, holistic support, empowerment programs-mobile outreach and a transitional employment program.

Hajar's House, created with the Muslim community in mind, is open to all women and children within our community. We cater to ages 18 and up in situations of abuse, homelessness, financial distress, and much more.

As a new organization we can always use your support.
