Hajar’s House is an intentional community dedicated to helping women with or without children to resolve issues and problems that result in their displacement. We do not discriminate for any reason, including age, gender or gender identity, sexual orientation or preference, race or ethnic origin or for any other reason.

Mission Statement: To encourage women to walk out of displacement while providing them with tools for self-sufficiency towards achieving independence.

Vision Statement: To see lost and vulnerable women and families take the steps towards creating a new positive life’s journey.

Hajar’s House is organized exclusively for charitable, religious and educational purposes as specified in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Our specific and primary goals are to create a safe and clean environment for economically distressed women and women with children through transitional living, by promoting community wide interest and concern for women and their children who are economically distressed in Hennepin, Ramsey, Dakota, Anoka, and Scott counties.

Our hope is to improve the life of the women and their children that we service through health awareness, education, and financial capacity, which will lead to less homelessness, poverty, crime and sickness. This will also increase improvements of mutual aid among, by and for vulnerable women and their children. Hajar’s House will facilitate through tools and goal setting, how to pursue an alternative, sustainable and improved life path.

We are here to support you!
